Trans people are dying. Trans children are dying. God’s beloved children are dying.
Mary weeps for them. She grieves their loss. She loves and prays for their souls.
Her children are suffering.
What hurts the most is that so many of the people who cause this pain and death do it in the name of her son.
They do it in the name of her God.
They even do it in her own name.
She weeps for the hate that is spread through fear and greed, for the hate that is shouted in the name of a God who’s biggest force is unconditional love. She weeps for the souls being torn apart by their hateful actions and the death that their ignorance causes, because they are her children too.
She weeps for her own pain, because what could be more heart breaking than one of your children killing the other?
