Maia Sky Art

Hi! My name is Maia Sky Walker. Yes that is my real name. Yes my parents are huge dorks. Yes I am also a huge dork who loves it.

I am an artist who was born and raised on the unceded territory of the Tk'emlups te Secwepmec people. (Kamloops, BC) I work in as many different mediums as I can get my hands on; from watercolours and acrylics, to clay, to digital art. I love art in any form. It is what makes me feel whole and complete. It's what makes my soul sing. I couldn't possibly be anything other than an artist.

I have spent a lot of time travelling around both Canada and Europe and this has heavily influenced my art. I have spent time living and studying art in Paris and traveling around Europe to experience different styles of art and periods of art history. I hope to continue traveling and learning from other great artists around the world.

I am also an art instructor. For me, a big part of being an artist is sharing knowledge with the next generation of artists and encouraging others to create art. Art makes the world a better place! I want as much of it going around as possible.
